Behaviour
This academic year, we are working with the DFE Behaviour Hub progam to revise our current behaviour systems. We are currently considering a different style of policy within the school and will be consulting with staff, pupils and parents in the Summer term for their views (Summer Term 2024).
Behaviour and Discipline
Barrington is a happy, friendly school where children are encouraged to work and behave as independently as possible within a structured and disciplined environment.
We have a positive approach to discipline by promoting and rewarding good behaviour, whilst having clear guidelines on how to deal with poor behaviour.
There is a set of school rules enshrined in our Code of Conduct which all pupils are aware of. The emphasis is on the positive, stressing how pupils should behave and what they should do, rather than being negative.
