Forest School

Mrs Smith takes Reception class children for Forest School sessions in the school woodland area every other week.  The class will be going out in a whole group.  This will enable the whole class to experience the woodland area during the different seasons.

Forest School uses the outdoor environment to help children learn. Children are encouraged to develop independence skills, improve their decision making and raise their self-esteem through small achievable tasks.

Sessions of Forest School are child led to accommodate individual learning styles and the children are encouraged to make choices about their own learning.

Please provide your child with old long trousers, a long sleeved top and wellington boots when it is their turn for Forest School.
